About Us
We are an established small family business based in West Sussex in Southern England - our customer base is worldwide. We provide a professional and friendly shopping experience, and we are a member of the Federation of Small Businesses.
The Tea Towel Shop is an internet mail order business - we do not have retail premises.
The linen tea towels we sell are genuine Ulster Weavers pure linen tea towels, they are brand new with labels/tags.
You do not need to create an account with us to make a purchase.

Payment
Secure on-line payment
facility - We use Sage Pay and Streamline to process your card
payments - you can purchase items in the knowledge that your card
details are secure.....The Tea Towel Shop do not see any of your card
details.
Credit / Debit Cards
- We are able to accept payment via Mastercard / Visa / American
Express and all major UK debit cards. We do not see the details of your
credit/debit card when you pay this way - the transaction is handled
securely via Sage Pay & Streamline. Your payment will show as Busy
Lizzie Crafts on your bank or credit card statement.

UK Cheque / Postal Order - We accept payment by cheque/postal order from our UK customers only - we regret we are unable to accept payment by International Money Order. If paying by cheque/postal order would you please arrange for us to receive your cheque/postal order, payable to BUSY LIZZIE CRAFTS, within 7 working days - thank you. If you are sending payment by cheque would you please write your cheque guarantee card number on the reverse of the cheque - thank you.
VAT
We are not VAT registered and do not charge VAT on your purchases.
Delivery
We post to UK, BFPO, Europe and Worldwide. Our charges are based on the current Royal Mail postal charges which are based on weight + size of parcel, plus a small fee to cover packaging - click here for more details.
Depending on the value of your order we may sometimes decide to send a package via Signed For, Parcelforce or International Signed For delivery - we may also decide to send your tea towels in more than one package. Should this be our decision you will not be charged an additonal fee.
We aim to despatch purchases within 2 working days of receiving payment - we are generally able to despatch within 1 working day (working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK Bank Holidays). If there is likely to be a delay during busy periods we will post a message on our website at the top of the right hand column.
Customers outside European Union - We will attach a Customs Declaration form to the front of your parcel clearly indicating the contents and value. You will be responsible for any customs/import duties/fees appropriate to the country of import.
Are you sending tea towels as a Gift?
To avoid any confusion we will attach a
label to the outside of the parcel to advise the recipient that we have sent the
package on your behalf.
For countries outside of European Union we will attach a Customs Declaration form to the front of your parcel clearly indicating the contents and value, and will indicate that it is a Gift. Please let us know when sending payment if there are any other regulations regarding gifts in place in the destination country which require additional specific wording on the Customs Declaration form or parcel.
Even though the Customs Form will indicate that the parcel is a Gift most countries have duty free limits - the recipient will be responsible for any customs/import duties/fees appropriate in the country of import if the value of the parcel is above their country's duty free limit, or if other charges apply in that country.
Packaging
Your tea towels will be carefully packed in a grip-seal bag (which will have a small hole for safety reasons) - this bag is then placed in a plastic mailing bag. The coloured mailing bags we use are made from recycled materials and are themselves recyclable. Larger orders may be packaged in a recycled box.
Returns
We sincerely hope you are pleased with your purchase however should you need to return tea towels please contact us for a returns number before sending them back to us - thank you.
Change of Mind
You have a 14 day period which starts when you receive the goods to cancel all or part of your purchase (called a cooling-off period). Should you change your mind and decide you do not wish to purchase the items they must be returned to us unused, and in their original packaging within that period, together with your invoice and returns number details.
We will refund the cost of the item(s) returned and original P&P costs when they are received by us. You will be responsible for the cost of return postage. Should the goods not be received in the same condition as they were sent to you we reserve the right to charge an appropriate fee.
Faulty or not as described
If your tea towels are faulty or not as described we will replace (wherever possible) or refund the purchase price (including postage costs) if they are returned to us within 14 days of receipt with their original packaging, together with your invoice and returns number details.
UK customers
Please contact us before returning items for a returns number. We recommend that you use Recorded Delivery/Special Delivery when returning items as we are unable to refund monies if items are not safely received by us.
Overseas customers
Please contact us before returning items for a returns number. We recommend that you use a trackable method of returning items as we are unable to refund monies if items are not safely received by us.
If you are returning goods from overseas you must clearly mark the package "Returned goods of UK origin" to enable UK Customs clearance. If you do not do this and Customs charge duty on the return we will reject the package and it will be returned to you at your expense.
Your parcel has not arrived?
Although the vast majority of items sent via Royal Mail are delivered as expected, Royal Mail does not accept that items are lost or missing in the post until after 15 working days from the date of posting.
If you are concerned that your parcel has gone astray please do let us know, however we will be unable to replace (wherever possible) or refund until 15 working days have elapsed since the posting date. Should we need to claim for a lost parcel you may be contacted by Royal Mail during their investigation process.
